OUR CHAR

Every day they are taken fresh and carefully from our fish depot, cleaned and processed by hand. They are not “just fish”, they are a symbol of our dedication and passion.

THE PREPARATION

Traditionally and by hand, just as we have always done. Unseasoned and unadulterated. Only with coarse-grained salt and a brushstroke of Greek olive oil directly from Karin’s sister’s farm. This is how the fish are placed on the charcoal grill and develop the typical and full flavor of a fine char.

You don’t need much more to enjoy this culinary specialty. Just a slice of lemon, a slice of rye bread, perhaps a few drops of garlic oil and a friendly “enjoy your meal!”

THE GRILL

For us, only charcoal comes into question. It gives our char that special taste! We created the barbecues ourselves and built them to suit our needs. Professionals simply set great value on professional tools. 😉

THE OIL & THE BREAD

These are the ingredients that perfectly round off the genuine, natural taste experience. Karin’s sister lives with her family in Greece and supplies us with first-class oil from her own farm. Lucky for us and our guests! Fortunately, we also have our two nephews who help us out during the summer rush.

We have been sourcing our moist rye bread for many years from a bakery in Lower Austria, which delivers it here especially for us.
